The OCE of SJTU has been widely engaged in the innovative studies in the conceptual design, mechanics property and model experiment method in relation to the deep-sea platform as well as the vortex-induced vibration of the deep-sea riser.

The concept of the Cell Truss Spar, abbreviated as CT-SPAR, which has been entitled to the independent intellectual property right, is set forth for the first time around the globe.
